About Us

Solidarity Nepal is an entirely non-profitable and social welfare organization dedicated for Social Transformation in Nepal, founded by Mr. Rajendra Gautam in 2012. It is registered at the District Administration Office, Kathmandu (Regd. No:- 847), and affiliated to Social Welfare Council, Nepal (Affiliation No:- 34837) and also registered to Inland Revenue Department of Nepal, PAN (Regd No:- 601496011). Its headquarters lies in Kathmandu, with humanitarian activism in rural part of Nepal.

 

Solidarity Nepal’s mission is to achieve grassroots reforms in education, poverty, health and sanitation, empowerment of women, various youth clubs, vocational skills and training programs to uplift the living standard of the people of the rural areas of Nepal. After the Earthquake of April 25th 2015, our focus is centered on helping the affected communities of Nepal.


It is a secular organization that works for the humanity, open to all persons regardless of race, color, creed, gender or political preference. 

 

To achieve this, we have a team of leaders and visionaries who every day make possible the transformation we want.

 

We also have a very well structured volunteer program, which welcomes people of all ages, sexes, vocational and educational levels, who wish to be linked to the social impact actions we take, as part of the core activities of the organization.

 

The largest single project ever undertaken by us is “Project Hope : One Child, One Donor Sponsorship Program”. This project offers educational scholarship, uniforms, stationery materials and resolve the basic & genuine human rights issues. It is associated with increasing the living and educational standards of underprivileged, earthquake victims and Dalit so called untouchable children’s in rural areas of Nepal. Currently, The project is supporting 1000 underprivileged, earthquake victims and Dalit so called untouchable children’s in remote districts of Nepal each year with educational scholarship.

 

We want everyone to be healthy and well and to live as independently as possible. So, we provide service and support for a wide range of health and social needs. Besides Solidarity Nepal is also working for Community and Rural Development, Upliftment of the people who are socially neglected and exploited in the name of tradition. To solve certain Human Rights and Environmental issues Solidarity Nepal is doing welfare activities in collaboration with Government, INGOs, NGOs and local organizations.

Mission

Objectives

After the April 25 Earthquake, our focus has centered on helping the affected communities of Nepal. Our  major objectives are:

 

1. To renovate and rebuild community schools destroyed by Nepal Earthquake to facilitate children with modern, safe and clean classrooms.
2. To rebuild earthquake-proof houses, community & health centers, drinking water supply systems and toilet blocks in earthquake affected areas.
3. To bring foreigners to volunteer for teaching in the schools.
4. To conduct teacher training programs to help village teachers to improve their skills.
5. To provide scholarship to children in need and develop infrastructure of the school by supporting school furniture and developing e-library for students.
6. To provide relief supplies to those affected by the devastating 2015 earthquake.
7. To construct modern and earthquake-resistant community schools.
8. To organize home-stay trips to help villagers with income generation and to alleviate poverty.

9. To work for the helpless, orphan and disabled children for their education, health, awareness, shelter, care taking and raise voice for their legal rights.

10. To launch long term program for family health care, poor mother and children welfare.

11. To establish well facilitated rehabilitation center for underprivileged children, women, disable and elderly people.

12. To Honor individuals and organizations that contribute significantly and meaningfully in the fields of education, health, social, economics, and environment in society.
